Uschi the Weimaraner

Graves Park in Sheffield is one of Uschi’s favourite places.  Lots of places to sniff, lots of other dogs and places to swim.

Uschi thought that these Canada Geese were far too scary though  - especially as one of them was squarking at her a lot!

We throw treats in for her and tell her to “find it” and she swims around searching for the little treats.

She really enjoys herself

We took a walk along Padley Gorge to Grindleford Station Cafe recently.  Uschi enjoyed the change of scenery and met lots of people at the cafe.  Here she is drooling over a gravy bone treat that I was holding to the side of the camera.

Happy once she’d eaten the treat.

She found the trains that passed by facinating (if a little scary) and as we stopped to look at the Totley Tunnel entrance she wanted to take a look too.

She likes to be in the middle of everything.

Thank you to Nancy Jo from Erie, PA, USA for sending us these pictures of her weimaraners, Bailey and Bella.  Nancy Jo says it has been pretty warm recently, but luckily they live close to the banks of Lake Erie and Bailey and Bella get to enjoy swimming to cool off!

Uschi invited her boyfriend, Ferdy, round for dinner this week - here they are both panting because they had been wrestling for about 2 hours non-stop!  All the photos are taken on with an iPhone. Uschi likes to be fashionable with her gadgets…

This morning was an early visit to the canal and the weather was great.  Fabulous blue skies with stunning clouds.

Uschi finds ducks very interesting but also very scary - she always approaches the bank with great caution…

Uschi’s tip: keep your weight on your back feet to help for a speedy getaway if they quack at you.
