Uschi loves walks more than anything else Here she is by the front door with her lead and collar on, ready to go.

She doesn’t mind where she goes for a walk, she just loves walking.

She’s always dashing about.

The only bit of the walk that she doesn’t like is the end where the lead comes back on and it’s time to get in the car…

When the weather is nice we put Uschi’s outdoor bed (a Fatboy Doggielounge) on the decking at the back of our house. She likes to sit and watch the birds.

Uschi loves being out in the garden (a.k.a. the yard for those readers over the pond!), she loves it most when the sun is shining.

Charlie also likes to prowl around the garden.

Uschi thinks Charlie is very interesting and likes to follow him around the garden.

Charlie gets a bit fed up of all the attention and invariably ends up swiping Uschi!

Yesterday we took Uschi on a walk to one of her favourite spots, Linacre Reservoirs near Chesterfield.

It was a gorgeous day.

Perfect weather for a swim.

Two little King Charles Spaniels stopped by to see what Uschi was up to.

Uschi’s favourite friend came to stay with us recently. We all went for a walk at Chesterfield Canal.

It was a beautiful morning.

They decided to cool off and have a swim and splash in the canal.

Another Place

One of the places that we go to most often when we visit our relatives is Crosby beach which is north of Liverpool.

The beach is long and wide (unless it’s very high tide) and it also has a art installation, “Another Place” by Antony Gormley. Another Place is 100 life sized cast iron sculptures of the artist and they are placed at various spots along 3 km of the beach. It’s well worth a visit.

Here are a couple of shots of one of the sculptures that is being slowly swallowed by the building sand!

And one image I took some time ago and remains a personal favourite.

It’s well worth a visit and the dog gets a good walk too!

Some more shots of our recent weekend in Merseyside. Uschi loves being able to run through the water.

She ends up rather wet and soggy

She moves pretty fast so it does take several attempts to get a decent shot of her moving!

We went to Merseyside again recently and whenever we go we make sure that we get a couple of walks on the beach. Uschi loves splashing in and out of the sea and she loves the space to run about in.

These shots were taken in the morning, but it looks like sunset. Probably because it was the weekend following the Icelandic volcanic eruption and the ash cloud was effecting the upper atmosphere.

She found a ball: always wonderful to find some treasure on the beach

If stones are roughly ball shaped then they count as found treasure too

She runs and runs everywhere, but she never goes too far and likes to keep close to us.
