We often walk at Linacre Reservoirs with Uschi.

There are some lovely colours in the woods at the moment as the leaves fall.

Yesterday we took Uschi on a walk to one of her favourite spots, Linacre Reservoirs near Chesterfield.

It was a gorgeous day.

Perfect weather for a swim.

Two little King Charles Spaniels stopped by to see what Uschi was up to.

Uschi likes to pose for the camera!

We often go the canal and she finds the ducks rather facinating. If they move too quickly or if they quack at her then she gets very worried

We haven’t had much sun yet this year but every opportunity and Uschi is outside warming herself in the sun.

One of Uschi’s favourite walks is at some local reservoirs and we’ve been going there regularly too.

Whoops, we’ve not been keeping the blog up-to-date enough! Anyway, here are some photos of Uschi on a recent walk around the Linacre Reservoirs near Chesterfield in Derbyshire.

It’s always good to find a stick and the stranger the shape or the bigger the stick, the better.

She doesn’t like walking on the board-walk, it’s all a bit scary.

Uschi likes water, but is frightened of ducks.

Always rushing around.

Uschi and the ducks

We took Uschi for an afternoon walk in Whiteley Woods in Sheffield.

There is a place called Forge Dam where there are a lot of ducks. Uschi loves to watch the ducks and likes to bark at them sometimes. They are rather frightening.

Uschi has been enjoying the snow over the last few days, here she is smiling to show you all how much she is enjoying the snow

They both like to play chase, and take it in turns to be the one being chased!

They also play hide and seek around the trees.

The life of a weimaraner is pretty steady really. Walks in the woods, food, more walks and more food. Uschi’s favourite walks are in the woods. She loves finding a good quality stick to show off to the other dogs.

Uschi doesn’t like to share her sticks with anyone – anyone except Ferdy. She loves chasing around with Ferdy and stealing each others sticks.

And here is Uschi and Ferdy’s friend, Chilli – a female doberman.

We took this next photo back in May – we were trying to get Uschi to sit in the bluebells and look pretty… ha ha ha!

The Love of Uschi’s Life

Uschi has a boyfriend… his name is Ferdy and he’s a very handsome German Short-haired Pointer. He’s her toyboy because he’s only 1 (she’s 2, nearly 2 1/2). They love to run around together and Uschi will even share sticks with him (that’s why we know it’s true love).

We meet Ferdy regularly in one of the local woods and he’s almost as mad as Uschi so they’re a good match.

Couch Potato?

Since Uschi got her own doggie sofa, you might be forgiven for thinking that she’s spending all of her time lounging around at the moment…

… but she has been getting her twice daily walks as usual!

We went on a family walk recently with 5 other dogs: two chocolate labradors, one sprocker, one collie and one collie-afgan cross! Here is Uschi with all the other dogs and family.

She loves rushing around like a nutter with her ears flying around.
