Irene recently got in touch with us about her weimaraner Dexter. He lives just down the road from us in the same town and is related to Uschi; he’s a Wipfel Weimaraner too!

He looks as cheeky as Uschi….

Uschi in the garden with Charlie

Uschi loves being out in the garden (a.k.a. the yard for those readers over the pond!), she loves it most when the sun is shining.

Charlie also likes to prowl around the garden.

Uschi thinks Charlie is very interesting and likes to follow him around the garden.

Charlie gets a bit fed up of all the attention and invariably ends up swiping Uschi!

Uschi and Ferdy

Uschi’s favourite friend came to stay with us recently. We all went for a walk at Chesterfield Canal.

It was a beautiful morning.

They decided to cool off and have a swim and splash in the canal.

Uschi and Flamingo Domingo

Uschi’s favourite toy is a squeeky pink flamingo that we call “Flamingo Domingo”.

Flamingo Domingo is slowly losing bits of his wings (and don’t tell Uschi, but he is actually Flamingo Domingo II as the first Flamingo Domingo had to be ‘retired’ after losing his wings and all of his stuffing) but he is Uschi’s favourite thing.

A walk with three labradors

We went for a walk with Uschi’s friends at Graves Park in Sheffield. Here are (L-R) Duffy, Tango and Mardis.

Good news though, we had a spare

We met an adorable little black labrador puppy called Charlie on our walk.

Mardis was rather fond of gravy bones.

All the dogs loved a splash in the stream.

Uschi’s best friend, Ferdy the German Short-haired Pointer has come to stay for a few days. Most of the time they like to play fight, but sometimes they do need to rest. Here they are getting a cuddle on the old sofa in the office…

We met with my auntie and uncle recently while they were on a holiday at a log cabin in Derbyshire, and their labradoodle, Sadie!

Here they are checking out the passers-by. Sadie is not quite 1 year old yet and she’s already as tall as Uschi – although nowhere near as heavy!

Uschi’s best friend is a German Short Haired Pointer called Ferdy. Uschi has been looking forward to this week for a long time because Ferdy has come to stay on his holidays!

Uschi loves Ferdy, she’ll even share her car boot with him

She thinks he is very handsome.

She even lets him share the office sofa with her and daddy.

Ferdy likes a cuddle

Of course, the best thing is going for a walk.

Here is Talie, Ferdy and Uschi; all sitting ‘patiently’ for a gravy bone treat.

We stopped for a coffee after the walk.

Uschi and Ferdy watch the comings and goings.

Then it was back in the car for the ride home
