Wags and welcome to the blog dedicated to Uschi who is a weimaraner!Why the name USCHI? Well Uschi is a german name (a shortened form of Ursula actually) and a weimaraner is a german gundog (orginally from the Weimar region). We have since discovered that Uschi (or Ursula) means “little bear” or “she-bear” which we thought was rather nice too!

Uschi was born on 16th January 2006 and was part of a little of 6 puppies bred by Ann Stone (Wipfel Weimaraners):

Hi there,
I have Uschi’s brother, Wilbur. I look at your site regularly and enjoy every photo. She is a very pretty girl and seems to have a great character! I have two weimaraners, both very different. Jodi the oldest one is 4 and, of course Wilbur will soon be 2. Jodi likes to do things in her own time. Its not that she’s not obedient, its that she does it when she is ready! Wilbur is the best boy in the world and is so easy going. He is a real mummy’s boy and is so happy to please you.

Happy New Year Uschi, You look like you had a lovely time at Christmas,your Daddy was the same he enjoyed his presents too he especially likes to open them on his own.He is just about settling down with the new addition to the Colls family a 8 month old Hungarian Vizsla called Ramsey we have had him since he was 8 weeks old and ZEUS was quite wary to begin with but they get on really well and Ramsey has become a good companion for Zeus.Uschi is getting so like her dad she looks just like him too.

Hi Alison & Uschi,
Sorry taking so long to sort photos out for you but i promise i will.I cant believe that Uschi is 2 already Argh time is going too fast.I saw Lexi at the last show we were at with Ann and i thought how alike the two girls are they are just beautiful and i love looking at all the super photos of her journal.I really like the Paddling at Padstow she looks mega in that one.

Hi there..
Uschi certainly is a lovely looking girl.. you can always tell when there is Gunalt in the blood-line. I have two Weimeraners both of strong Gunalt ancestry, Ruby and Oscar. Rubes we had from a pup and is now 18 months old. We decided to add to our family but took on Oscar last October who was 2 years old instead of another pup and everything has worked out great. The pictures you’ve taken of Ushi certainly capture the fun loving, full of life characteristics of a Weim and I see so much of my two in her. Ruby however hates water having fallen in my parents pond at 9 months, she won’t even walk through a puddle! Oscar on the other hand is a typical boy, the dirtier the water the better!!!
