First Rosette!

Uschi went camping! We took Uschi to Thrumpton Hall in Nottingham for an overnight stay. My cousin and her husband are part of the West Lancs Dog Display Team and the team were doing a display at the show. We camped along side the display team and gave Uschi a busy couple of days!
She got to experience a fun dog show… and got second place in the puppy class! A better behaved King Charles Cavalier Spaniel got the first. Here is Uschi with her rosette…

Uschi coped very well with her first night in a tent. Here she is waking Stephen up after being let out of her crate this morning.

Over the couple of days Uschi got to experience all sorts of unusual things including lots of loud noises in particular. There was gun fire from the clay pigeon shooting, loud music from the mini-fairground, the noise of a helicopter taking off and landing, a loud tannoy making announcements and a battle reinactment display going on during which they let off canon fire at various intervals.
There was also lots of gun shots from the dog display team. Amongst other things, they demonstrate “man work” where dogs are trained to apprehend villians as you see below. All good experience for a pup!

Uschi got to meet many new dogs and we stopped to meet various weimaraner fans as we took her around the show a couple of times. She’s still to win around my cousin’s Bassett Hound, Truffle though. Truffle has no time for silly puppies who just play all day long!

Uschi was in awe of a giant schnauzer called Samson. He wasn’t in the mood to play either though.

But by the end of the day, Uschi was rather worn out and flopped onto one of the other dog’s beds, zzzzzzzz….
