Training and Raining

Uschi has had a good week, crate training is starting to reap rewards at last, she’s really a lot more settled at night and last night she was quiet for 6 hours. It seems that we will start to get some more sleep at last. The car is no problem for her either, she just settles into her carboard box with her bedding in and most times just falls asleep.
She’s really got the hang of “sit” now (unless she is really distracted) the problem is rewarding her, she just gets too excited by the treats she likes, and the ones that she’s not that fussed about she’s not interested in. So we try and just reward with calm praise and stroking.
My sister arrives this evening to meet Uschi and also dog sit for us tomorrow while we are out at a wedding. Does my sister know what she is letting herself in for…?
Uschi doesn’t like the rain and it has been raining quite a lot this evening. We have to encourage her to come outside into the garden to do her toilet business. This isn’t a great photo, but the wet spotty look is so cute!
