Uschi the Weimaraner

As promised, here are some more photographs of Uschi on our recent holiday in Anglesey, North Wales, UK.

We spent a lot of time walking on the gorgeous beaches of Anglesey.

She loves to splash about in water and gets pretty soggy!

She loves chewing seaweed stalks.

She loves running about.

A lots of photographs of Uschi are actually like this one… she moves pretty fast!

Some of the beaches had snow on them (this was the first week of 2010 when, unusually, the UK had snow pretty much everywhere).

Just stunning landscapes.

At the end of a tiring day a dog needs to rest.  It’s especially nice to have a blanket to keep you extra warm and comfy.

Happy Birthday to Uschi who is 4 years old today!

We recently went on holiday to Anglesey in North Wales. This is a picture of Uschi near the old lighthouse at Ynys Llanddwyn. We’ll be posting more pictures of Uschi on holiday soon.

Uschi received a squeaky hippo this morning and had destroyed it within 5 minutes – well at least she had some fun with it anyway!

Whoops, we’ve not been keeping the blog up-to-date enough!  Anyway, here are some photos of Uschi on a recent walk around the Linacre Reservoirs near Chesterfield in Derbyshire.

It’s always good to find a stick and the stranger the shape or the bigger the stick, the better.

She doesn’t like walking on the board-walk, it’s all a bit scary.

Uschi likes water, but is frightened of ducks.

She tries to drag out the end of every walk – “it’s not time to go yet, surely?!”

We took Uschi for another walk at Linacre Reservoirs near Chesterfield again this morning.  It was a cold morning but after a misty start it turned out lovely and bright.

We met Luna (in the pink collar) and Murphy (partially hidden behind Uschi) while we were on the walk!

There was a lot of sniffing going on.

She likes to see what it going on and here she is peering over a dam wall (there are three reservoirs at Linacre, all in a row down the valley).

Here’s one of Uschi posing at the edge of the water.

Uschi’s favourite toy is a squeeky pink flamingo that we call “Flamingo Domingo”.

Flamingo Domingo is slowly losing bits of his wings (and don’t tell Uschi, but he is actually Flamingo Domingo II as the first Flamingo Domingo had to be ‘retired’ after losing his wings and all of his stuffing) but he is Uschi’s favourite thing.
